Cpdt Pet Dog Trainers
For adults and parents: What's Up with minors in Section Pets?
I am a CPDT (certified pet dog trainer), so I lurk in Animals ---> Dogs Section. I'm starting to feel a bit 'alarmed by all the questions that I read posted by boys. I mean, I guess I should be happy browsing on the dogs on Yahoo, instead of how to make homemade bombs or meth labs, right? 'I'm just worried because it seems that boys may be taking too much of a responsibility with their dogs, not listening to their parents, adopting / buying of pets without authorization, etc. A question from a young man was something like "my dog has not been immersed in 7 years, is this OK?" Or how 'question the meeting: "My Mom would not Let Me Get a dog, but I did the same, now I get to hold him, but I have no money for his food or strokes, and help mom wont ... "Am I missing something? * Erika - thank you! I did not know anything about the "Legit Question" thing so I would have been reported. I still do not know what I'm doing, but I appreciate the advice! Good Lookin 'Out, Girl!
I wondered that too until recently. My mother works in a school, and discovered that one of the boys there was a litter of kittens. Was thinking of getting a pet, so she looked into it more, and it was discovered that the mother of the student had a female adult cat that had never been sterilized and that has given birth to a litter every few months. These puppies were being neglected, as was the mother cat. The woman who owned either did not care for animals or do not know how to take care of them. Your child has had to assume the responsibility to try to find the kittens new homes each time a litter is born. Mia mother ended up taking the whole litter and find most of their homes well alone. The kittens were malnourished and flea-ridden when she took them. Unfortunately, many adults do not care about animals or understand them. If a child asks a pet, their parents often do it for them and assume the child will have the responsibility, even if children are not able to completely care for all animals on their own. The boy did not always know what they're getting into when they ask for a pet or bring a stray house, and her father is too ignorant or not care enough to do the right thing and make everyone in the house wants the animal and understand its needs. Too often the child loves and cares for the animal, but the parent does not. It 'sad, but what can anyone do except try to help them with all the resources we have?
