Labrador Puppy Essentials

What age do puppies get their jabs?
I just brought a new puppy home yesterday, shes 9 weeks old and a german shepherd/labrador cross.
So far ive let her in the garden and i walked her down to my sons school which is like 2 mins away but i dont wanna take her out until shes had her jabs and im not sure what age they are meant to have them at.
someone this morning told me that they arent essential either, i always just assumed they were as they need protectng beore they can associate with other dogs? or was i misinformed??
also is it normal for a pup whose just been seperated from her parents and siblings to have the runs?? she messed ALLLL over the dining room last nite i was mortified lol!!
she whines alot too but m gonna let her sleep with a clock tonite to see if that calms her down
any advise would be lovely
thanks very much in advance
If your puppy has had no vaccines, that is fine. No need to rush off and get them as long as you are keeping him away from pet stores, dog parks and other places dogs hang out. PLEASE read up on vaccines and make informed decisions. They should not be passed out like candy like most vets do. Learn why they are given in a series and skip that if you can. We give one parvo shot at 12 weeks adn one distemper at 14 and nothing else the rest of their lives. NO mutil shots that contain more then one virus. There is good reason for that and you need to look into it for the health of your dog.
This is the vaccine protocol I have followed for years and recommend it.
