Anyone who has experience with recovery Parvo / cleaning?

Our 10 week old puppy came down with Parvo yesterday. It seems that we have is early and fluids in the hospital and that he is doing better today, so we're confident they will recover. I wonder if anyone could share with me their experience in terms of their dog go home? On the one hand, we heard that he can not re-contract the disease, but we also were told to scrub everything with bleach? What can we do for our furniture that he has had contact with? And we just have to throw away his toys and bedding and start again or they can be run through the washing machine or dishwasher? 'd hear other experiences as well as any input? Thank you!

Here is some info I found for you: If you had a dog in your house, which was diagnosed with parvo should be cleaned as you have never cleaned before. The parvo virus is very resistant and can live in the environment (carpet, hard surfaces, bedding, bowling green, garden) for many, many years. First throw any dog used in a plastic garbage bag, seal, and take him out. This means that all ... bowls, blankets, toys, collar, leash ... Any hard surface, where the dog may have been needed to be washed with a solution of water and bleach ... Bleach Part 1 to 4 parts water. You need to clean the surface and leave it wet. E 'oxidation by evaporation that kill the virus. Any hard surface that can not be bleached must be sprayed until wet with disinfectant (only brand) and allowed to air dry. Let evaporate the moisture, not dry. Upholstered furniture and carpeting should be cleaned professionally. You will need to advise the company of cleaning up your situation so that they can use to clean more powerful. Furthermore, cleaning steam and evaporation as the fabric dries help. Clean the yard, collect all waste. Pour bleach directly on the ground when you pick up the waste or to know that the dog has eliminated. Finally, if you have had a parvo positive animal (dog or cat) at home you must be very careful on all animals that come into the house for next year or two. You are strongly advised not to bring a puppy (under 18 months) or old animal in the house during this period of time. Despite your best efforts to clean that there is no way to completely eliminate the virus from your home. So a young animal (immature immune system) or older animals (immunocompromised as a result of aging), conceptually, could become infected. Edit: Apparently you can wash toys with bleach and then run through washing with soap and warm water a couple of times, I personally would only willing to give them and start over from scratch. PS I hope your puppy is better!
