What causes a dogs ears smell sour?
I am babysitting my friends new puppy. She said that she gave as four bathrooms since he understood why smells terrible. I felt his fur, and smells good, but I noticed a smell in my ears. As a disgusting smell really sour. They were really dirty, I think it was mites ear, so I gave the treatment of ear mites, and its been a couple of days and have the best, but still have an odor. Any suggestion had just been to the vet and the vet did not say anything.
When a dog has ear mites, it tends to leave an unpleasant odor. He needs to clean ears with a cotton swab and alcohol b / c any ear drops will evaporate. Doing it for a couple of days and if the smell continues take him to the vet. Something more might be in progress. If the vet says that there is still nothing wrong and continues to be a smell, take him to another vet.
