Puppy Facts Dogs Breeders
BYB, Breeders, Puppy Mill, pet store?
That I know so many people in this site are high strung and really think that people are listening to what they have to say, (which does not get me wrong .. they have good advice, but manytimes good advice falls on deaf ears). So I was wondering because obviously I understand that you should always try to get your dog from a rescue or first reception (I have one from a breeder and one from the shelter) ... What you all want to happen to these puppies puppy mill? I mean, if nobody buys them will not only end up somewhere right? I know it's all about sending a message and not supporting them ... but each When someone says to buy this or that ... the fact that this poor lil BYB puppy is available does not change just because they buy ... we still need a house ... just wondering your opinions on this. Thanks:)
In theory, if people stop buying from pet stores and byb's, which will stop selling and then to intervene and rescue groups find homes for dogs. happens quite frequently with raids puppy mill and pet store closures. every time you buy from them another puppy is waiting to take the place of what you've bought thus perpetuating the cycle.
