Puppy Finds Pet
Questions to ask before buying a puppy from a pet store?

I'm thinking of buying a puppy, I can not wait to buy from a breeder, but difficult to find one in my area (which I would take the puppy myself and meet with the breeder, before making an outright purchase), even though I know Most pet stores have been known to get their puppies from pet mills, there are questions they should ask whether the order to buy one? Anything I should look signs which are defined puppies abused?

A responsible breeder will be: 1) a breeding to the breed standard .. not teacup, micro, mini, Imperial, King, or any other goofy name for runts or large dogs. Unintentional "rare", meaning not accepted by the breed standard, nor colors. 2) will be actively showing or working parents. 3) will have the health for genetic testing done, such as PennHip or OFA, CERF, VonWillebrand, etc. 4) will give you the results of this test in writing 5) insists on the necessity of sterilization for animals pets. 6) has a contract, citing the spay / clause Neutral and also the offer to return the puppy at any time for any reason, for the rest of his life. 7) is open, honest and available to the new owner and can talk aobut their race for hours. 8) does a home inspection prior to placing a puppy, and turns on the houses that may not be suitable for a puppy of breed. 9) will not put money above the welfare of their animals. If the breeder you are considering does not fit these guidelines, find a better breeder. They are more likelihood of having a mentally and physically healthy puppy from a responsible breeder. Notice you will never find a pet store that can even think aobut meeting criterion.
