Puppy Food Wellness
Puppy with many ailments .... is the food?

We have a boxer 5 months that she has a bladder infection at 9 weeks of age, was treated with 2 months of antibiotics and now appears to be resolved. Then he came down with an ear infection two weeks ago and is now drops. This week has started to have loose stools and vomiting. She is on the food from the veterinary service and antiobiotics for his loose stools. She continues to vomit yellow bile intermittently. I saw a site that indicated that the wellness puppy food can cause loose stools, vomiting and ear infections ... anyone have any comments or experience with this food and the diseases listed?

It sounds as though your puppy may be suffering from allergy-related problems, and it is very likely that this is a food allergy dog. I think the best thing would to switch to a food that is specifically designed for dogs with allergies, intolerance and sensitivity to the most commonly used dog food ingredients. You find much more about dog food allergies, and foods that are recommended for this condition, here http://www.the-puppy-dog-place.com Do remember, however, to make any changes in your diet slowly and gradually. Start by adding a small amount of new food with the old, and then in the course of about a week the gradual increase again and decrease the old. It will take at least a month for the effects of food the old system to let your dogs', so be patient and give a chance before deciding whether or not you think it's helping. Good luck with your puppy, we hope you get this issue resolved soon.
