Puppy Linux Live Usb

Urgent Linux (Puppy) Help: I can only press the power, after a kernel panic message? Please read?.
Okay, I admit I did something really stupid. I set a USB flash drive direct to Puppy Linux. I decided to test the functionality of persistence (complete with passwords and "heavy" encryption). Everything works perfectly up to this point. computer shuts closed. I turn back and start unpacking puppy itself. All that is good. And this is what I do: Instead of typing my password I decide to go to the console. I realized then I'm nowhere near being a developer and have no experience with the LINUX comandline -- I guess windows experience does not help ... I do not know the commands for Linux. I type "help". This does not work, so I'm a bit 'worried. I do not know how to close all properly from here. As a total n00b I entered the command "exit". I encountered this: "Kernel panic - not syncing: attempted to kill init! "Here he stops himself. I can only press the power button without damaging anything? Will this damage my computer or USB disk / files on USB?
Try this: Hold the Alt + PrintScreen on your keyboard and type: REISUB (An easy way to remember this is his "most committed" spelled backwards) If this does not work, then just press the power button. It should not harm your computer from the hard drive, probably not installed or are written. Exists possibilities that may affect the file on your USB drive (most likely the puppy save file) In addition, turn off the computer from the command line, do this: shutdown-h now or to restart: shutdown-r now This should work: reboot poweroff
