Puppy Really Thirsty
My 9 month. old puppy has been drinking water regularly every day, but he always seems thirsty.Is normal?
when I take him for walks, he barks and wants to slurp the water on the side of sidewalk.is this just a phase at all the dogs?
The dogs do go through a lot of water normally. The my backpack keeps me busy filling water bowls. Much depends on the size of the dog, of course. A puppy 9 months old is still growing. There should be a little 'equal "exit" of all this water too. And drink more when the heat of the course. It is hard to tell when a dog is done drinking and there may be a health problem, like diabetes. Here no one can say with certainty. If interested please call your vet and ask. I suppose you have a home vet for your puppy and he was seen several times by 9 months. If so then should not mind your calling.
