At what age should start puppy is getting?

Hi Just yesterday I bought 2 golden retriever puppies Now I want them to memorize their names so I tried it online and they said that when u say their name and look to reward uu are giving now turn to the person who bought the puppies are saying that u shouldn't give them until they're 4 months traits do not know if thats true or not, but if that's what others can give him a reward?
