Do I really need a health guarantee for my new puppy?
I am planning to buy a maltese. I've met the parents (lovely sweet dogs) and also met the puppies and got the pick the one I wanted. All the puppies look perfectly fine and was very playful. She kept them inside. I didnt go around her house to look at everything I thought it was kinda weird.
She is a very nice lady and sounds great. But when I mention about the health guarantee she said that her vet is coming over to check on the puppies and give them their shots in a few days. She said she could write up something but after reading all those horror stories online about puying a puppy and then later find out that it had a congenital disease or something I got scared.
So I was wondering is a health guarantee just a sheet of paper. Is it worth asking her to type one up for me? And what is a nice way of telling her w/o her telling me that her vet is going to check the puppies out before they leave. I rather be safe than sorry.

GET A HEALTH PAPER CONTRACT... OR be there when the vet checks them...
It is your money you are spending.
If she cannot guarantee her pups... then I would be wary.
